The first of our couple only dances, this week we talk you through the military two step! It's just the two of you, noone else needs to get involved, so you can even practice at home... The Setup For this dance you come to the floor with a partner. Form a circle with all the other couples. Everyone is facing anti-clockwise round the room, guy on the left of each pair and lady on the right. Hold inside hands with your partner (so the guy's right and the girl's left). The Dance

Riverside is an amazing dance! The highlight of which, we often call the 'Clothesline Run'; Where two couples run down either side of the sets - but still holding hands - meaning everyone else has to duck or risk decapitation! The Setup For this dance, you need to come on to the dance floor in couples. Come on to the floor holding hands with your partner and join up in a long line facing another long line of couples doing the same. Each set should have the same number of coup

In one months time, you can come dance with the Sassenachs Ceilidh band when we play the Ceilidh Club in Camden. Circassian Circle is one of our favourite dances and our preferred way to start the ceilidhs we lead. It is fun, very easy to learn and gets all the guests up together in unison. It provides a great opportunity to get everyone up and in to it. It can also provide focus. At a wedding the bride and groom can go in the middle for instance, giving the guests even more reason to cheer at the appropriate parts of the dance.
